Living through a pandemic or public health crisis

Living through a pandemic or widespread public health crisis in a way that caused significant harm. Losing people. Being isolated for extended periods. Working on the front lines of a health crisis. Having your life fundamentally disrupted or reorganized by something invisible and collective.

The pandemic was a collective trauma that somehow left many people feeling entirely alone with it. Deaths without funerals, isolation without an endpoint, frontline work without relief, whole years reorganized by an invisible threat. Because everyone lived some version of it, individual losses got flattened. Yours were specific, and they deserve specific acknowledgment.

Nothing on this page is a diagnosis, and nothing here decides what is wrong with you, because nothing is wrong with you. Something happened to you. This page exists so that when you are ready, you can find people who understand it from the inside.

You do not have to carry this alone.

Bridge of Hope Recovery is a free, anonymous, peer-led fellowship for trauma survivors. Meetings run throughout the week by phone, by video, and in person. No cost, no waitlist, no one asking for your real name.
