Sexual violence

Having someone expose themselves to you or violate your sexual boundaries without contact

Being exposed to, flashed at, or subjected to sexual violation that did not involve physical contact but was unwanted and violating. Including voyeurism, being recorded without consent, being stalked in a sexual context.

Violation without contact still crosses a line your body registered clearly, whatever anyone else said about it. Being watched, recorded, flashed, or stalked teaches you that your boundaries can be taken without a single touch. If it changed how safe you feel, it was significant. Your body's verdict does not require a second opinion.

Nothing on this page is a diagnosis, and nothing here decides what is wrong with you, because nothing is wrong with you. Something happened to you. This page exists so that when you are ready, you can find people who understand it from the inside.

You do not have to carry this alone.

Bridge of Hope Recovery is a free, anonymous, peer-led fellowship for trauma survivors. Meetings run throughout the week by phone, by video, and in person. No cost, no waitlist, no one asking for your real name.
