Neglect
Being denied education or kept from learning
Not being enrolled in school, being kept home regularly without reason, or growing up in an environment where your education simply did not matter to anyone responsible for you.
Being kept from learning steals twice. It takes the education itself, and then it takes years of confidence while you work around the gaps in public. Whatever you have taught yourself since then, you did it uphill and alone, and that effort deserves more respect than the world tends to give it.
Nothing on this page is a diagnosis, and nothing here decides what is wrong with you, because nothing is wrong with you. Something happened to you. This page exists so that when you are ready, you can find people who understand it from the inside.
You do not have to carry this alone.
Bridge of Hope Recovery is a free, anonymous, peer-led fellowship for trauma survivors. Meetings run throughout the week by phone, by video, and in person. No cost, no waitlist, no one asking for your real name.
